I grew up as an IBM kid next door to a farm in Minnesota building computers with my Dad; my Mom is an artist whose work has been featured in nationally renowned museums. For me, technology is a metaphor for life. All technology is built on connected systems. We can build, shape, and evolve different systems and communities in which we live and work. I live to build—and I love to build business because I believe it has the power to change the world. What started as a love of learning new things from new people has turned into an unwavering commitment to help people understand one another better: in business and in life.

“Marysharon has all the info, she is like a shared drive.” I earned the nickname M:share early in my venture tech career at Microsoft as I built a reputation for shipping global enterprise software products on time and under budget to hit revenue targets with no recalls. As the PM for the first product developed in Microsoft’s New England Research and Development (N.E.R.D.) center in Cambridge, MA, I had one goal on my annual review: ship a quality product on schedule. I worked with some of the most brilliant minds. One thing became clear: if the team fails, we all fail. It was my responsibility to ensure the right people had the right information at the right time to ship. I felt most alive in those environments and continue to today.
As a leader, you need two things to execute your vision: an entrepreneurial mindset, and the resources to act quickly. This is where I help. I lead early stage ventures at Fortune 50 companies and start-ups including Microsoft, Target, Bank of America, American Well, UnitedHealth Group, Advent Health, Wells Fargo, Illumina and several biotech startups. My breadth of experience gave me deep insight into C-Suite communications, shareholder expectations and complex board of directors dynamics. I know how to inspire organizational change and profitably bring innovative ideas to market

I earned my business degree from Northeastern University and Masters of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. My academic background and experience as an executive across industries perfectly sets me up to function as a swivel seat across business divisions and partnerships—to inspire alignment, define a common language and achieve harmonious goals. In my consulting agreements I have been hired as an Interim CMO, Chief of Staff, Creative Director, Chief Design Officer, Interior Designer, Digital Advisor, COO and for companies I have helped take public, all of the above.

Throughout my career, I have stood up new digital organizations including Smith Medical’s Digital Business Organization, Bank of America’s Workspace Services Creative Team, Illumina’s in-house creative studio, UnitedHealth Group / Optum’s Design practice and Wells Fargo’s technology brand. These agreements create space and a safety zone to pilot best practices, elevate team capabilities and co-author change management playbooks tailored for the nuances that uniquely position organizations for success.
